Our story

Launched in 2021, Skin Diligent is a French cosmeceutical brand based in Paris and London, inspired by Korean cosmeceuticals, which combines botanical ingredients with high-tech active delivery systems: gentle on the skin and ultra-effective.

Skin Diligent co-founder Tule Park, originally from Korea, has spent four years studying and researching the sciences of the microbiome, epigenetics (non-genetic factors like lifestyle choices that affect our well-being), and nutrition. To launch Skin Diligent, she partnered with a French ethnobotanist and researchers in biology and green chemistry to explore effective botanical treatments for acne without side effects.

A word from the co-founder:

" The turning point came when my teenage daughter started getting acne. I discovered that the standard first line of treatment was a three-month course of oral antibiotics and a combination of retinoid creams. Gradually, I realized that all medical treatments for acne were 30 to 50 years old, predating genome and microbiome science. They were mostly aggressive, damaging to skin cells, and controversial. The creation of Skin Diligent is based on 3 pillars

	Epigenetics and the microbiome Thanks to epigenetics and microbiome science , we now know that microbiomes (gut and skin), stress, chemical exposure, hormones, nutrition, pollution, and genetics are interconnected in their impact on skin health. This is the basis of Skin Diligent’s three-pronged approach: supplements to work from the inside out, skincare to repair and protect the skin barrier, while improving skin health at the cellular level.
	Korean cosmeceuticals Tule’s work with several Korean cosmeceutical companies helped him clarify his vision for a European-based cosmeceutical brand. His ambition with Skin Diligent: to improve skin health, strengthen its skin barrier, and achieve proven results through proven botanical actives and high-tech active delivery systems.
	Against endocrine disruption The recognition of the risks associated with endocrine disruptors only dates back 20 years. These chemicals harm human reproduction, metabolism and growth, among other things. This is why Skin Diligent skincare products are all tested and free of estrogen-type endocrine disruptors . Skin Diligent is a pioneer in this approach and hopes to encourage other brands to follow its example.

All these paths and more have resulted in an Ultra Safe brand specializing in blemished skin and premature skin aging.
